The Environment
Juggling multiple core B2B/B2B2C platforms at Givinga, my primary focus was modernizing the user experience through UI and information architecture overhauls. The fast-paced startup environment, characterized by a constant influx of ideas, necessitated rapid iteration and prototyping.
However, the absence of clear leadership and misaligned communication between the product and executive teams often led to scope creep and shifting priorities. Weekly changes in requirements, driven by business demands or custom client needs, frequently overshadowed the overarching goal of delivering a seamless user experience.
While these challenges were present I was able to play a key role in implementing several products and led the efforts to establish the Design System.
Product Launches + Initiatives
Established a unified design system and component library to streamline product development across the organization.
Developed and launched Givinga’s Internal Tools to efficiently onboard new customers and users for core products: Grant Management and Philantech Platform.
Revamped the Charity Tools platform through a comprehensive UX audit, delivering an enhanced end-to-end user experience.
Redesigned the Philantech Platform for admins and givers, implementing the new design system and optimizing user journeys through improved information architecture.
Transformed the Grant Management platform from a superficial redesign into a robust, feature-rich solution supporting multi-level reviews, diverse payment options, file management, reporting, and user administration.

As a Senior Product Designer, I believe constructing a successful design system hinges on three key pillars: scalability, efficiency, and a seamless user experience. These principles guided my approach in creating a unified and cohesive user experience.

Givinga's Internal Tool aims to revolutionize the customer onboarding process by slashing turnaround time from 10 days to a single day. By streamlining customer and product creation, the tool enhances operational efficiency and provides a clear, accessible fee structure. Additionally, it expands customer management capabilities by enabling the seamless integration of Grant Management programs.

Our platform aims to enhance user experience by implementing a new design system, optimizing user journeys, restructuring payment and donation flows, and seamlessly integrating investment portfolios.
